Nurturing Curiosity and Creativity
Through Heart and Hands

Welcome to Heart and Hands, Nottingham's premier Home Education provider.
We offer children who are home educating a Waldorf-inspired approach to learning.
We offer gentle, creative, and nurturing tuition focused on arts, crafts, and outdoor provision.
We also offer project-based learning where skills and a sense of acomplishment are developed over time.
Our Holiday clubs enable children in mainstream settings to join the fun!
We can't wait to inspire your child's curiosity, creativity and growth!
Our
Story
We are three experienced teachers and tutors who are passionate about Waldorf-inspired learning. When the East Midlands' last Waldorf school closed in September 2024, it became clear that there was still a need in our community for this nurturing, holistic and creative approach to learning.
Heart and Hands Tuition was born!
In March 2025 we said goodbye to the old Iona School building and moved our provision to Floralands Farm Park in Lambley.
This has been an extremely busy time and we feel we are creating something truly magical. The continuation of our pedagogical approaches with the addition of animals!
Whether it's singing to PeeWee the Peacock and his chicks during our morning circle time, or a quick stroke of the goats on our way back from lunch, the children are benefitting in so many ways from our new setting. Being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we are surrounded by fields and birdsong. Our hub is nestled away within Hollybeck Garden Centre, come find us!
What makes us different from other tuition services?
We nurture the holistic development of the whole child through our gentle, creative approach.

Testimonials
Waldorf learning has re-ignited my passion for teaching and tutoring. I am so happy that we are able to offer this tuition service to our home educating community in Nottingham.
Emma, Tutor
[My child] said it was the best day ever and that he likes learning (felting, hand bells, singing) more than playing, which is high praise indeed from a child who loves to play!
Beth, Parent
The gentle care and attention my daughter, aged 9, has received with skilled craft projects has been very much appreciated. There have been some challenging moments with acquiring skills and getting past doubts, the tutoring and support have been excellent in helping our child flourish past the sticky moments. And we have enjoyed seeing the end product of various endeavours including a wet felting scene and knitted items. Thank you Heart and Hands. We look forward to hearing about any summer holiday workshops.
